Hi, I’m Sam — the owner and sole operator of Sam the Handyman.

What started as a couple of side jobs to make a little extra money quickly grew into full-time projects and complete remodels. For the past two years I’ve been working steadily across the Twin Cities, focusing on residential homes and earning a reputation with homeowners for reliable, high-quality work at fair, upfront prices.

I grew up on a farm in Blaine, Minnesota, where my dad, Steven, taught me how to fix, build, and finish just about anything. Plumbing, carpentry, wiring — if it broke on the farm, we figured it out and got it done right. Those lessons gave me the skills and work ethic I still use every day.

I run Sam the Handyman the only way I know how — the old-school way that’s getting harder to find. I show up on time and clean, greet you with a handshake and eye contact, take my shoes off at the door, work carefully and thoroughly, keep your house spotless, charge a fair price, and don’t leave until the job is done right and you’re happy. That’s not a slogan; it’s just who I am.

I live in Apple Valley now and cover the entire Minneapolis–St. Paul metro and southern suburbs. On nice days you might meet my pup, Milli (she loves riding shotgun on outdoor jobs), and at home my cat Theodore keeps me company.

My goal is simple: deliver honest, top-notch work, earn your trust, and grow Sam the Handyman into the most respected, community-focused residential repair and remodel company in the Twin Cities — one happy homeowner at a time.
